After weeks—months—of hunting, we finally found it. Hidden inside a crooked sheet metal shack, buried deep at the bottom of an off-the-books scrapyard, half-swallowed by rusted fenders and twisted frames... there it was. Barely visible in the shadows sat the silhouette of something big… something green.
We asked the yard guy about it while squeezing through the warped entrance. He didn’t even turn around—just muttered, “Forget it.”
That’s when we knew: A 2008 F-350 Super Duty with a Powerstroke under the hood. No doubt about it.
Then he said, “I’m just doing a favor for a close friend.”
We cut him off: “Does it run?”
He paused… looked at us… and replied, “That one! It’s a corpse.” Then he muttered again—
“It’s not for sale.”

Why This One? Because Ford Built It Tough.
You can’t build a performance off-road truck out of nothing — and when it comes to this 2008 F-350 Super Duty, the list of what this rig’s packing is just endless… Where do we even start?
Let’s Start With the Stance.
This truck—an F-350 SRW LARIAT Crew Cab 4x4—just looks like it’s built for the wild. Standard factory heights:
Overall truck height: 81.0 inches tall from ground to roof.
Load-floor height: 37.3 inches off the ground.
Ground clearance (stock): 7.8 inches between chassis and earth.
And that’s before we touch a thing.
Now, what’s moving this truck?
This truck — the one we hunted down — didn’t come with the standard 5.4L 3-Valve SOHC Triton V8 Engine. Not even close..
Buried under the hood was the 6.4L OHV 32-Valve Power Stroke V8 Turbo Diesel Engine with Series Sequential Turbochargers, Intercooler. That alone stopped us cold at the scrapyard. We weren’t expecting it. We didn’t even hope for it. But there it was.
350 Horsepower @ 3,800 rpm
650 Lb-ft of torque @ 2,000 rpm
And that’s just to begin with…
Woooooooh... This Frame Doesn’t Flinch.
We finally squeezed in.
Ducked under beams, brushed past rusted fenders... and managed to get a look at the VIN.
Another one that caught us off guard: We punched the VIN into the phone—and Boom—this truck has a GVWR Payload Rating of 10,001–14,000 pounds.
"Woooooooh… A Military-Grade Chassis."
You’d need more than 115 tons of twist just to get this frame to flinch.
It was just sitting there. Waiting for us.
Next Up in the Build...
Why Wasn’t It for Sale?
He didn’t flinch when we asked. Just stared at the truck and said,
“This one’s not for sale.”
No explanation. No room to negotiate.
We didn’t get it then… But the story behind that “no” hits harder than we expected.
And now? We carry it with every bolt we turn.
We’re Lifting It 12 Inches — And We’re Just Getting Started.
Stock overall height: 81.0 inches from ground to roof.
Target ride height: 93 inches—or more.
We’re not just talking bigger wheels—we’re raising the entire center of gravity.
Body lift, suspension lift, geometry correction… the works.
This isn’t just a build. it's a mission to lift it loud, make it trail-tough, and turn it into something unstoppable.
